Anne-Marie Maurer

My name is Anne-Marie Maurer. I started singing & dancing at the age of 6 and continued throughout my school years. 

While still at school I completed my Diploma in Make-Up and worked as a Make-Up assistant on the television series “The New Adventures of Skippy.” When I completed year 12, I went on and studied Acting & Voice production at the Queensland College of Arts & Entertainment for 3 years and also taught Acting to children ages 4 -17 for their junior school The Cooee School of Performing Arts. I have acted in numerous local plays and television shows.

1992 -2000  I also worked part time in a Music store (Sunflower Music & Sanity)

I then went on and studied Child Care & Education for 4 years. I taught the Music, Movement & Dance module to adults at the Gold Coast Early Childhood College and after having worked at numerous childcare centres on the Gold Coast. I went on to study music at the Kindermusik University. I then taught singing to children ages 4-11 at the Moonlighting Vocal Academy and did holiday workshops for Sydney based Modelling Agency Polka Dotts. I have also attended NIDA workshops in teaching Theatre & Television.

2002-2003 I taught Theatre Arts at the Silkwood Steiner School.

In April 2003 when my 2 boys were 4 & 6mths old....I couldn’t find any activities to take them to so I decided to I open my own Performing Arts School. Yes everyone around me thought I was crazy...but I did it anyway :)

I started with teaching under 5’s only then it grew to under 12’s, then teenagers as well. I first hired a room at the personal training studio that used to be at  Robina Town Centre, then when my classes grew I hired the playgroup room (Christian Outreach Church RTC) and then a year later opened my own studio ‘The Kreative Kidz School of Performing Arts’ in Currumbin. 

I taught children aged 6mths - 17years...(max. 10 in a class) Acting (film &TV/ stage), Singing, Dancing, Grooming & Deportment/ Modelling. Group & Private classes. My students performed at various Shopping Centres, festivals etc around the Gold Coast.

In 2006 I closed the studio when I had my third son to spend more time with my family but I continued private lessons from my home studio until 2015. 

Fairy Amalia flew into our lives in 2012 and when she was around 3 we became ‘The Kreative Fairies’ and Fairy Ani has been running Fairy~ Story Rhyme Time at Robina Town Centre since Feb 2017 & Hyperdome 2019.   Fairy Amalia joins in during school holidays. 

The Kreative Fairies,  Ani & Amalia educate children in a Fun, Creative & Stimulating way through Music & Imagination. Their show introduces children to the wonderful world of fairies.
